Start with Smartbar and team replies

Choose Start with your team during onboarding when your immediate goal is to receive and answer website conversations. AI setup is removed from the required launch path, but it remains available whenever you are ready.

Your launch path

1. Design Smartbar and save the production website.
2. Install the Smartbar script on that website.
3. Send a real website test and confirm it reaches Inbox.
4. Invite teammates or continue as the conversation owner.

What visitors experience

Visitors reach your team. If nobody is available, Smartbar follows the saved after-hours behavior, such as showing a contact form or hiding the widget. Visitor AI remains off.

Add AI later

Open the onboarding panel and choose Change starting point, or begin from Agent or Knowledge. Add trusted sources, configure the Agent, pass the private launch tests, and then turn on Visitor AI from Smartbar. Your existing branding, installation, conversations, and team setup remain in place.
