Set up AI privately and turn on Visitor AI

Choosing Set up AI now changes the onboarding order, not the live website. Smartbar still begins with team replies and the Agent stays private.

Complete the private setup

  1. Add at least one trusted Knowledge source and wait for indexing to finish.
  2. Configure the Agent's name, response style, business context, visitor outcomes, and handoff behavior.
  3. Assign the Agent to Smartbar.
  4. Run every required scenario in Agent Test.

Complete the live safeguards

  • Enable a working human-handoff path and AI fallback.
  • Show the AI disclosure badge.
  • Choose what happens when the included verified-outcome allowance is used.
  • Confirm Smartbar is saved for an approved website domain.

Turn on Visitor AI

Complete the required Agent launch checks, review your workspace coverage configuration, and enable AI for visitors only when ready. Then test the production website in a new browser session.

Pause without losing your work

Turn Visitor AI off to return visitors to team replies. Your Agent, Knowledge, tests, and saved first-response choice remain available for later reactivation.
