Customize, verify, and publish your Smartbar
Customize the visitor experience
Use the Smartbar editor to set the visible brand, greeting, colors, position, and conversation starters. Keep the initial choices short and centered on the most common visitor intentions.
Connect the right experiences
- Select the Agent that should answer when Visitor AI is on.
- Enable Help Center navigation only after useful public articles are published.
- Configure demo, callback, lead, and handoff workflows before offering them.
- Choose teammates or teams that can receive live conversations.
Review website coverage before launch
Review your workspace coverage configuration before publishing. Test Agent answers and human handoffs privately before making AI available to website visitors.
Verify the website domain
A Smartbar should serve only on websites authorized for that configuration. Add each intended hostname in setup and follow the verification instructions. Preview mode does not replace production-domain verification.
Publish safely
Test the saved configuration in preview, publish it, then test the production website in a new session. Confirm branding, mobile layout, article links, team replies, and handoff. If you plan to use Visitor AI, also confirm the Agent passed its launch checks before turning it on.
